Cwyfan Church "Church in the sea"
After a distarious weekend, followed by illness and injury my weekend of camping and mountains was cut short. With the weather on the turn and rain forecasted for that afternoon. So, not wishing to give up I ventured further North before leaving to go home.
I’ve seen photos of the ‘Church in the Sea’ in many styles and it’s a scene that could be argued, is over shot and published but in all the years of visiting North Wales I’ve never been over to this part of Anglesey so with camping of the schedule it was time to enjoy a peaceful wonder around the coast instead.
Photography was never the plan for the weekend either but with gear testing and camping ruined I needed a pick me up so out came the tripod, filters and camera for a spot of long exposure photography to capture my own interpretation of the church.
It was a shame I wasn’t there earlier as the tide was going out which meant a lot of seaweed and rocks were being revealed.
That clean, minimalist look I original had in mind was out the window too. Instead left with the only option was a mixture of the two.
